How to play play
Transform your self-discovery into play. Learn how to experience the Gita Game step by step.
π― Game Objective
Each player begins the game with a personal inquiry β a life situation, inner conflict, pattern, or deep question to explore. The goal is to reach deeper self-understanding and transformation by recognizing personal qualities and receiving intuitive guidance that influences outer life.
𧩠Game Setup
Each player formulates a personal question or request. The inquiry should focus on internal change β when transformation happens within, external situations begin to shift naturally.
Examples:
- Instead of: βHow can I improve my relationship with my husband?β
Try: βWhat can I change within myself to make my relationship with my husband more harmonious?β - Instead of: βHow can I improve my financial situation?β
Try: βWhat qualities should I develop and what actions can I take to change my relationship with money?β - Instead of: βWhy am I not appreciated at work?β
Try: βWhat is preventing me from feeling my own worth, and how can I change that?β
Each player receives:
- A token
- A sheet for personal notes (optional)
- Access to card decks: Character Traits, Actions, Accelerations, Obstacles, Clues
π² Game Turn β How to Play
On your turn, roll the dice and move your token forward by the number shown. Depending on where you land, draw a card from the corresponding deck:
- Character Trait: A quality to develop to help resolve your inquiry.
- Action: A step or behavior to move forward.
- Acceleration: A strength you already have that supports progress.
- Obstacle: An inner belief or habit that stands in the way.
- Clue (Association): Draw an image card and name your first association β this becomes a symbolic message for your question.
- Meeting with the teacher: This field means that a significant encounter is about to happen in your life. The teacher may appear in many forms β as a person, a book, a video, a lecture, or even a conversation in which the right knowledge is revealed to you. Remember: The teacher appears when the student is ready. If you received this field, stay open and attentive β observe who or what comes into your life and what message is being brought to you.
Reflect briefly: βWhat does this card reveal about my situation? What do I need to realize?β
π Continuing the Game
Players continue moving around the board and collecting cards. Each card is a part of the puzzle β together, they reveal a clearer picture of your inquiry and how to transform it from within.
π Ending the Game
The game ends when the time is up or when a player reaches the final space. Each player reviews their cards β qualities, actions, accelerations, obstacles, and associations β and creates a chain of insights. This reflection shows what inner work is needed so the outer situation can naturally shift or be accepted with peace.
